Maha SomaYaag – Summary

With wonderful Somayaag that occurred at Maheshwar, the holy land sanctified on earth, and a similar Somayaag done in Kolhapur in Feb , 2008, a boost of energy has been received by the entire planet earth’s environment. The time is now, when each Agnihotri has to become a warrior of peace marching on the 5fold Path carrying the torch of light, the torch of Love, living in the Will of Almighty.

Time to set aside our personal views, opinions and attitudes and march together in unison and harmony. This will create an universe with divine symphony and harmony. The time is “Now”.

Tryambakaein Yajamahe = I perform tryambakam Yajnya
Sugandhim = fragrance for ever expanding wellbeing and health,
Pushtiwardhanam= for nourishing of the environment
urvaukamiva= like a cucumber
bandanan= bounded to the vine of life  (shackled as the self is tied to the life)
mrytoor mukshee yamamritat = may I achieve total absolute freedom unto immortality, that is freedom from the cycles of birth and death

The entire universe pulsates with a coordinated rhythm. This rhythm synchronizes the orbits of the moon, planets, earth and sun. The earth, nature and human body responds to this natural rhythm called the Circadian Rhythm. We human beings align and realign to this rhythm precisely at the sunset/sunrise transition point. This accord with the rhythm brings peace and wellbeing. A discord naturally produces stress, anxiety and an infinite cycle of strife & sufferings. Agnihotra is the only effective tool that we have, to produce this harmony between the mind, body, and the universe.

…, the vision on the right eye became blurry and I was seeing double, unable to drive a car.

     Luckily, my son from Baltimore, MD, came to help me, and he strongly felt I should be taken to an urgent care facility in Charlottesville to be seen by a physician. Being in the city, I was now able to take taxis and able to get to a hospital to have an M.R.I. ( magnetic resonance imagery) which confirmed a 2 cm tumor behind the right eye, where the blood vessels and nerves come together. The ophthalmologist was very baffled, and suggested I go for a second opinion, telling me that were she to operate, it was considered majot surgery, and she might accidentally damage the muscles around the eye or, even worse, cause damage to the optic nerve, causing a loss of vision.

     At about this time, I received an invitation to come to Houston, TX, to participate in 11 days of Rudra Yaag. While in Houston and in constant Yajnya atmosphere, I heard from a friend that she had used Agnihotra eye drops to help clear an eye problem her mother had. After making and using these drops, one into the corner of the right eye, and one rubbed into the skin beneath the eye, a follow-up M.R.I. some weeks later showed that the tumor behind the right eye had disappeared, and, by Grace, to this day, it has not returned.

Shiva Lingams from Narmada River, India

What is Shiva Lingam: Shiva = Almighty Father +Linga = symbol. Linga is the fire, divine light. Lingam is a powerful energy generator and a potent nurturing stone that can be used to heal and balance energies in a supportive and gentle way. Grace:

IT is Grace that prevails from the first breath or the first step to the last breath or the last step. If there could be a life objective then it is only to be worthy of 'That Grace'. It is this Grace alone that can unshackle a deserving one of all bindings and fuse one with the Absolute One, the One and Only, Self Effulgent, All pervading, all enveloping, unqualifiedly and yet All Alone!  

  It is the Grace that keeps the Sun glowing and the Moon shining, the seeds to fruit or flowers to bloom or the brooks to flow and be the ocean or life to live and rejoice. Love and Joy are but the same beyond description and that is That and That Is IT!!!  And You are IT! That is the true nature of the Self!

How to Stay on the path:

Stay whole heartedly focused with the Discipline that the Sadguru has prescribed; be totally surrendered to The Divine Will whole heartedly, very lovingly and completely... So often the seekers are devoted and surrender all and yet save the ‘Self’. That 'Self' too is perishable. Then there is no room for my will. Then it is all 'Thy Will'. It is then that the oneness with the One and only Almighty begins.

In technical terms The 'Ichha Shakti', 'Kriya Shakti' and the 'Gnyan Shakti', when the Self together with all these is surrendered completely then and independent self does not exist other than the Self that is merged with the 'ALMIGHTY'. Then this & That are all One. Then One can say "I AM THAT I AM" or "I and my Father are One!"
